Wat Padarabhirom is located at Tumbon Rimtai Amphur Maerim Chiangmai. It is approximately 13 kms from Chiangmai’s Cityhall, with an area of 26 rais.

It was established on November 20th, 1938 by a number of faithful Buddhists who respected the teaching of Phra Archan Mun Bhuritadtamahatera, forest monk in this area a few years before, followed by a number of forest monks (Phratudong Kammatan) under his teaching. It all started as a monastery with a few huts (Kuti) and a hall (Sala) for meditation and preaching under the name of “Wat Pawiwekchittaram” with Phra Archan Onta Aukkadhammo as the head of the temple. On December 21st of the same year, the Ministry of Education announced it as a temple in Buddhism.
