SUNTHARAPORN



          Khru Ee-ah Sunthornsanan was born on January 21, 1910 in Samutsongkram. His father was Nai Dee Sunthornsanan and mother, Nang Sae Sunthornsanan. In 1946, he married to Miss Aporn Kannasut had had a daughter, by name, Atiporn Sunthornsanan. He passed away on April 1, 1987 aged 71 years, 2 months and 11 days.

          Khru Ee-ah was the first leader of the Musical Group of the Publicity Department. His songs became very popular among the massed by the name of “Suntharaporn”. Khru Ee-ah took the personal name of his wife, Aporn, and joined it to his family name Sunthornsanan (Sunthornsanan + Aporn = Suntharaporn) which became famous throughout Thailand.

          On November 20, 1969, the Musicians Group founded by Khru Ee-ah completed its 30th year of existence. On this day Khru Ee-ah was personally awarded Golden Sema Metal, with His Majesty’s initials on, which event was a source of great delight and honour to Khru Ee-ah.

          Songs composed by Khru Ee-ah comprised of all sorts numbering about 2,000. His last composition was “Phra Chao Thang Haa”, the most well-known being “Nuan Prang Nang Mong”, “Nang Fah Chamlaeng”, “Khid Thung” and “Khor Hai Muen Derm”.



King of the Thai Folk Song



          Khru Phaiboon Butrkhan was born on September 4, 1918, Mooban Thong Khung, Tambol Chiangrakyai, Amphur Samkhok, Pathoomthani. Fathe’s name Nai Butr. Mother’s name Nang Phrom. Married to Nang Chandhima, no child. He passed away on August 29, 1972 at Paolo Hospital.

          His song records and radio dramas written by became very popular across the country and are so even today.

          Khru Phaiboon received the first “Golden Record” from H.M. the King on November 20, 1971 and etc. He was called “Father of Thai Folk Songs”.

PRANBOON



          Khru Chuangchan Chankhana was born on March 29, 1901, in Petchaburi. His father was Luang Rachsombat (Chan) and mother was Nang Soi. Several dramas composed by Pranboon won applause from the audience-chief among them, however, was Chan Chaokha in 1931 and Rosita in 7932, both stage at Phatanakorn Theatre. He passed away on January 6, 1976.

          During the year 1931 – 1937, songs composed by Pranboon, with timely innovations, were most popular with Thai theatre-viewers of all classes. As such, Pranboon was named the First Thai Song Innovator.
