For more than a decade,
the first wax model museum of Thailand
has been proudly established.

Thai Human Imagery Museum

Art flourishes from inspiration which is rooted in life. Artist Duangkaew Phityakornsilp and his team worked hard to bring life to the fiberglass “wax” figures, and the rigour of this intentive labour was itself as source of inspiration.

Creating the figures presented a number of challenges. Thailand’s climate forbids the use of wax as the main building material: the wax would melt in the heat, and the dust would ruin the skin texture. It really took more than one decade of trial and error to perfect the technique of creating “life” out of fiberglass.
