This new park of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, on the banks of Lam Takhong Reservoir, was built as part of the natural environment recovery programme of the hydro-electric power plant. The park is a mixture of vegetation – from forest to botanical garden – and is home to over a hundred rare plants of the northeast. The park’s rest areas are adorned with a variety of live traditional flower arrangements, including one sculpted into an offering tray. There are also walking and running tracks, a health garden with exercise equipment, a fish pond and stalls selling locally produced products.

Lam Takhong Dam, Amphoe Si Kiew is a dam that was constructed to embank the Takhong watercourse at the pass of Kheuan Lan and Than Siad Mount in 1969 for irrigation purposed. It has a spectacular landscape with a backdrop of the mountain ranges. It is a place that one can find fresh cool air suitable for leisure. Visitors may stroll along the dam ridge to enjoy the surrounding scenery. The area is opened for visitors daily from 6.00 – 18.00 hrs, but the best time is in the late shady afternoon. The adjacent area is the hydro-electric generating plant. Advance permission is required to visit inside the plant.
